West Highland Way, Scotland
Walking the West Highland Way is a once in a lifetime walk and is one of the most beautiful hiking routes in the world. Walking through the Highlands of Scotland, along Britain's largest freshwater lake, Loch Lomond, across the plains of Rannoch Moor and over the Devils staircase to Fort William in eight hikking days. Along the way you will taste various typical Scottish dishes such as Scottish salmon and Haggis, visit the Glengoyne distillery for a tour and you can taste the delicious whiskey. Swimming in Loch Lomond, washing in the stream during a wild camping night, walking past abandoned Scottish farms. We have already hiked the route more than 10 times and know exactly the way. In addition, a delicious extensive breakfast is available every day and we prepare the most delicious dishes in the evening. Are you going on an adventure?

On adventure
Day 1 | 19km
We meet at the train station in Milngavie. Your luggage will be transported by us from here and you can walk comfortably. We start with a cup of coffee/tea in Milngavie where we can get to know each other a bit and where we hold the first briefing. You will also receive the official West Highland Way stamp card from us here. Along the way in pubs and campsites we can ask for stamps, so you have a nice memory. We will start the walk around 11:00 am.
Today's route is with little difference in altitude. A lovely walk to get into. On the way we stop at the Glengoyne Distillery for a tour and tasting. You walk to Drymen where we spend the first night at the campsite. Here we are on a small campsite with basic sanitary facilities with a shower and a beautiful view over the Lowlands. Every evening we tell you about the next day so that you know a little bit about what to expect.
The West Highland Way
Hiking through the Highlands with only your daypack. We transport the luggage and provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is always super tasty due to our years of catering experience and you can serve as much as you want. You can walk with our guide Kim and the group or completely at your own pace. You will receive a route map for your mobile from us. Along the way, Kim and the group regularly stop for a break, to take photos, you go a distillery and stops for fun facts about the region we are walking through. We are in no hurry. At the start of the West Highland Way you will receive a stamp card from us. While walking we pass several places where we can get a stamp. A full card is a wonderful keepsake for later.

Tent types
Bring your own tent
You take your own small tent with equipment to the starting point. A small tent fits, including guy ropes, within a square of 4 x 4 meters. You set up and take down the tent yourself. Daily transport of tent and luggage goes through us. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks at the campsite are included.
